Peter R. Masciola Attorney-at-Law

Peter R. Masciola is the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, District of Columbia 2009 Trial Lawyer of the Year. He specializes in representing military families in medical malpractice and personal injury cases under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) and Military Claims Act (MCA). Mr. Masciola is a former Chair of the ATLA Federal Tort Claims Act Section and a past President of the Judge Advocates (JAA) Military Bar Association. He has testified as an expert witness on the FTCA and MCA. Mr. Masciola has years of experience working as in-house counsel at two major Air Force Medical Centers; he has represented numerous physicians and medical practitioners facing adverse credentials/licensing actions; he was the principal JAG officer overseeing the handling and disposition of all Air Force medical malpractice claims and lawsuits nationwide involving billions of dollars in damages.
